Here we have a detailed Deathcard of Panzerschütze Hans Haas who died on 18th April 1945, near Kodersdorf (North-West of Görlitz) at the age of 19.  Kodersdorf is located in East Germany and located near the Polish Border. 

The late date of 18th April 1945 and young age of 19 suggests that Hans Haas was a late conscript to defend Germany from the Russian advance in the East. Hans having the rank of Panzerschütze, suggests that Hans would have been part of a Panzer crew, most likely a Sturmgeschutz. Hans defending Germany from the attacking Soviet forces from the east where he sadly lost his life. One of many young lives lost in the final year of the war. 

The reverse details a image of a Stalhelm with cross swords and a wreath followed by small religious text with family words talking of memories of the young Hans Haas.
